Today's Review - Bonke 2-in-1 Tongs/Spatula

I'm telling you...Bonke is going to be the next big name in Kitchen utensils! This is my second item I've purchased from them and it definitely meets, and goes beyond, all expectations!
Heavy duty flexible nylon, easy to clean (I hand wash mine as I don't own a dishwasher), 2 pieces which separate easily, turned inside out it flattens to fit almost any storage compartment (I keep mine in my utensil caddy on my counter).
Now to the nitty gritty...I've used my Bonke 2-in-1 Tongs and Spatula for various reasons since receiving it...meat turner (held my steaks and pork chops in place without dropping them on the floor), pasta server (I actually threw away my 2 pasta servers as they couldn't compare to the Bonke Tongs...easier to grasp the exact amount of pasta you want), spatula for turning pancakes (worked pretty good, but will not be throwing away my reserve spatulas), vegetable tongs (worked great for my green beans and asparagus and even better for the corn on the cob).
Not only do they work exactly as described on Amazon, but they also come in 3 colors (brown, gray, and green). I purchased the green ones! I love that they give you a choice on the color, as opposed to many other companies.
The price is an excellent value, considering the durability and flexibility of the product.
Bonke includes a 30% off your next purchase coupon in the box, AND (wait for it.....) they offer a FULL ONE-YEAR GUARANTEE!
So you can't go wrong with Bonke!!!

Today's Review - 2 In 1 Bonke Vegetable Peeler and Julienne Peeler Set - Stainless Steel Blade - Perfect for Carrot, Apple, Fruit, Potato Peeler - Spiral Vegetable Slicer Spiralizer

I love my new 2-in-1 Vegetable Peeler/Julienne Peeler Set! Although the item didn't come with instructions, it is so simple to use. As you can see by the images in the description, one side is "hidden" while the other side is out/in use. To switch from the vegetable peeler to the julienne peeler, you simply press the button and slide! Voila! Easy, simple to use and there is even a little plastic cover for the julienne peeler (it doesn't fit well on the vegetable peeler, so I just keep the julienne side out and covered). The slender design makes it quite easy to fit in your hand, and also to store in any drawer or utensil caddy. Easy to wipe clean! I would recommend this 2-in-1 peeler to everyone as it is perfect for beginner cooks all the way up to advanced.

The Subtle Beauty (Crowns of the Twelve Book 1) by Ann Hunter

The Subtle Beauty (Crowns of the Twelve Book 1)...
I purchased this ebook (Kindle edition) on March 23, 2016.
Now...I read CONSTANTLY! And I will read just about anything...horror, biographies, fantasy, how-to, etc. You get the picture lol.
But I have to say...while I admire Ann Hunter for trying to retell the Beauty and the Beast...in my opinion her version of it is far too predictable, the writing was far below what I would expect for a YA novel (my 10 year old granddaughter read it also and she said the same thing), and to be perfectly blunt and honest....it was boring!
I will typically grab a paperback (kindle version usually) and read it non-stop until it is done. Yes...housework gets put on the back burner also. However, with The Subtle Beauty...I had a hard time getting past the first chapter, let alone the whole ebook. It took me several days to finish this one, because the story just didn't draw me in.
Even the editing for this ebook was atrocious. There were quite a few grammatical errors, not to mention Ms. Hunter had a tendency to "zone out" when it came to her character's names. There are several instances where I had to re-read a sentence or two to figure out which character she was "trying" to refer to (i.e.: she used Colin's name instead of Eoghan's on more than one occasion).
But I digress....let me get back to the subject at hand...which is "the story".

*Note: SPOILER ALERTS! Stop reading right here if you want to read the book yourself and not have any of it spoiled for you!!!*

Ok...Glory and her sisters are supposed to represent the 7 deadly sins. Got it!
Glory represents "vanity"...Got it!
Glory is "in love" with Colin (and vice versa)...Got it!
Glory's father, the King, sets her up in a pre-arranged marriage to Eoghan...Got it!
Eoghan is a Phoenix!!! WTH???? I get that Eoghan is supposed to represent the Beast...but really???
Glory kisses Eoghan...while he's a Phoenix!!! Again...WTH???
Glory develops "feelings" for Eoghan...I hesitate to call it "love" because she was "in love" with Colin also, until he went berserk and did everything in his power to rescue Glory (at her bidding mind you).

I could keep going, what I think you get the gist of it.
In my personal opinion...this ebook was not worth my time or effort to read it. I would have much preferred doing the dishes, by hand, than having wasted my time on this one. I'm sorry Ms. Hunter...hopefully the other ebooks in this series are better written, less predictable, and better suited for the YA genre.

I belong to a lot of review sites (mostly for Amazon products), and since a few of them require blog posts...I thought what better way to do it!
I'll be supplying not only reviews of products, but also the occasional links to some of the sites, in case anyone is interested in joining.
I've received a TON of stuff for either free, or at a very big discount, in exchange for my honest and unbiased reviews of the products.
Also, if anyone is interested, I'll be offering up links to other reward/survey sites I belong to that actually do pay (although it isn't much, once you add it all together, it definitely helps especially around the holidays). And please feel free to leave any comments you may have regarding the reviews...hey, everyone has their own opinion and I recognize that others opinions may differ from mine. So no hard feelings if you don't agree with me lol!
Huggles!!!
